Frequently Asked Questions

Who can come to the Deaf Pastors’ Gathering?

All Pastor’s Conferences have their own agendas on how to identify pastors who may come to their conferences. At DPG, we have carefully conferred with several key leaders on how to set our agenda. Please keep in mind that we would love to invite all leaders of Deaf churches, but because the responsibilities are different in many areas, we prayerfully decided on the following list to make it easier for you to see if you can come and be part of the Deaf Pastors’ Gathering.

First and primarily, the DPG is only focusing on male pastors who satisfy one of the following criteria:

  1. Active pastors to Deaf Churches.
  2. Retired pastors to Deaf Churches.
  3. Inactive / former pastors of Deaf Churches.
  4. Evangelists who serve in a local Deaf Church or Deaf Ministry as a "pastor to the Deaf."

Male pastors who satisfy one of the listed descriptions may either be Deaf or hearing. However, please note in addition that we ONLY encourage those pastors to come whose primary focus is on Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.

What should I expect from the Deaf Pastors’ Gathering?

We cannot definitively answer this question, because every pastor has a unique set of needs. It is our hope that you will find a time of relaxation, renewal, and sharing with others who will surely understand. Only pastors understand what pastors go through, and this is why we have DPG. We also hope that you will benefit from the sessions, the discussion groups, the fellowship time, the prayer support, and the quiet times with the Lord.
